TRRR visit Buduburam

A visit by TRRR delegates to the Buduburam Refugee Camp 40 kilometers from Accra was planned as part of our 2013 TRRR conference in Ghana.

With the official closing of the camp by UNHCR a year ago and the repatriation back to Liberia of most of the tens of thousands of Liberians who once resided in the camp, the services available to the approximately ten thousand Liberian refugees that have remained in the camp have been greatly reduced.

It was not simply a matter of musical taste; whether you preferred the Beatles or Stones said much about your personality and character. People who were happy, intelligent, well-adjusted, popular, clean, decent and punctual tended to be Beatles fans.

This is a second level comment as someone who’s logged into the site. Pretty neat, huh?

I believe in everything until it’s disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons. It all exists, even if it’s in your mind. Who’s to say that dreams and nightmares aren’t as real as the here and now?

I think I’m supposed to “take a sad song and make it better,” but that’s beyond my musical ability.

I did not break up the Beatles. You can’t have it both ways. If you’re going to blame me for breaking the Beatles up, you should be thankful that I made them into myth rather than a crumbling group.
